That's where I made the announcement that last week Bruce and I bought a new house! We bought a "ranch with a basement" in Hawthorn Woods and it should be ready at the end of September. We spent the last two weeks immersed in the details of selecting options and upgrades and starting the process of putting our current home on the market.
It was an all-consuming focus, with little bandwidth to handle the preparations for this trip. But here we are in a European capital airport that makes OHare look like a slum by comparison, and our personal dramas are so far away.
Next stop is Barcelona.
